Jordan had a doctors appointment today (the first one that he’s been to since THREE months, I don’t know how the office didn’t make the call on his mother…) and he’s 27 inches! 27! and he’s 18 pounds 14 ounces. He had five shots today :(
But since Jordan can only drink AR (he throws everything else up) he needs the liquid because the powder is impossible. (You need to microwave the water, then stir in the powder, then let it sit, then stir and microwave again, and then it’s too thin and he’ll throw it up anyway…) BUT WIC won’t pay for liquid formula other than the regular kind. So we’ve been shelling out $9 a can (which will only provide him with four or so bottles) and it’s ridiculous. But his doctor said that we should try using the powder with a hand emulsifier (yet ANOTHER thing WE need to go buy & pay for) and then put chocolate syrup in it. Uh…. What? When I was eight or nine months old the only formula I would drink was discontinued so MY pedi told my mom to switch me to cows milk which I wouldn’t drink so he had her give me CHOCOLATE MILK. What is with doctors?
